Yesterday I tried to update my w800i to the newest version, since the lights on my keypad kept flashing and doing other strange things. When I reached step 6 the update started and everything went fine, untill at about the end of the 2nd box of the entire row, my phone somehow got disconnected. It said I had to try again, so I did. It however states that the newest software is installed, but my phone doesnt work.
When I try to start it up it just stays black, and the memorycard isnt detected when I hook it up to my computer.
What to do? Wait till a new update comes out or is there another possibility, preferably with maintaining my contacts and sms.

try to remove battery and try again. If still doesnt work, then you have to go to service center

just sell it on ebay as a faulty phone, see if you get anything for it, instead of throwing it away

that happened to my HK w800i, when i was trying to upgrade the firmware.
the update crashed, and when I tried to update again it said i had the latest software.
I ended up going to a third party site and force flashed it with US firmware and my phone worked again. Still sucks that I had to pay good money for it.

Yes, even if people can't fix it, they'll buy it for parts, the screen is worth £25-£30 alone!

Trying a third party flash might be worth a try, thats what I would do, b4 i throw it away or try to sell it
