Orange are Ditching the new Tarriffs due to complaints, problems and people leaving left right and center.

Result God its about time they were all crap and if you are listening orange !! dump the 1p charge for delivery reports too. There crap as well !!

No more Animals from Orange!!!

Orange UK is preparing to ditch its much derided "animals" campaign in favour of a generic branding campaign. The Animals campaign, costing around US$18 million was due to run to the end of this year, and was based around classifying customers as a type of animal when selecting their monthly tariffs. Orange said that it had uncovered four distinctive new groups with common personality and taste traits - the fun loving Dolphins, no-nonsense Racoons, sociable Canaries and the no-expense-spared Panthers.

However, the campaign has been largely scorned by media pundits, and it seems - the customers. The campaign will still continue in the press while a final decision is taken, but all poster adverts have been scrapped in favour of a general branding campaign, believed to be preparing to support the re-branding of the France Telecom owned internet service provider, Wanadoo as Orange Internet

Can't say I'm too surprised that they're ditching the campaign.
Wonder what their marketing department has to say now about all this...

Thank goodness! Orange had better hope this hasn't lost them too many customers with that laughable campaign.

Wannado are being re-branded already? It's not that long ago they were rebranded from Freeserve! Why can't they leave brand names alone for more than 5 minutes?

Apparantly this isn't true... The story is being carried by industry newsheet Marketing and Cellular News. An Orange spokesperson said the campaign would run, as originally planned, until the end of the year.

This animal campaign has cost Orange £10 million so its very doubtfull if they suddenly decided to ditch it after such a huge investment.

What a stupid concept. There is no way I will let them compare me to a wild animal! They can go stick the whole lot of it right up their hooters. Its patronising and childish. "Oooo I'm a racoon..." :-l Nursery School?! This message was posted from a S700

Well, We can only wait and see.

As far as im aware, i have spoke to a few people today at the shops and they are glad if Orange are losing the tarriffs.

I know of three shops and they just wont entertain selling them as they are more confusing than ever.

I think they are a waist of Money. We can only wait and see what orange do? One thing you have to ask your self, Why has there not been any adverts on TV, Why has they not been published very much in the papers, Why are there not billboards, why does no body rave them!!

Orange hasnt put aside 10 million pound for the advertising campaign but so far they havnt used it and i dont think they will.

Orange are down 30% on the contracts last month and i dont think they have done much better this month either.
