Just noticed the new phone photos and event calender sections. They're some nice touches if you ask me. I can imagine the phone photo section getting clogged up by thousands of SE photos though

The photo page is fantastic. Considering laffen's thread is locked, may I offer a suggestion here, in line with a recent thread requesting some sort of competition?

In my opinion, it would be great for people to be able to score photos out of 10, or just give thumbs up and thumbs down. Then maybe every week/month, a script could generate the top pics, based on number of votes in relation to how long the photo has been live for...

Also, perhaps a 'Caption this Photo' or just the ability to add comments (similar to the news section) could go down well, knowing some of the great humour around this place!

@jasond

I have already discussed this with some of the uploaders. I am currently working on the comment system. Rating will be added in addition to a couple of other features.

Great news, thanks for listening! I'm very much looking forward to it all!

I'm also really stoked that any member of this forum can feel a real sense of responsibility when it comes to matters like this.

One question with regards to the phone photo section, i have some landscape photo's that need rotated to portrait, now if i rotate it in a external paint package such as paint shop pro, the photo is refused upload and if i rotate it on my phone then bluetooth it to the computer for uploading it reverts back to landscape??

Anyone help out on this one??
