> HELP ! My system restore

Hi all,
my system restore wont work on my computer
. when i do it, it creeps very slowly then ends. when it restarts and that it says restoration incomplete.
Any ideas? also i get this strangley in my programs;
This happens on a load of programs. please help
P.s. im doing the system restore because i accidentally clicked find settings automatically for one of my network things so my laptop cant connect to it now. if anyone know how i can this back..

run restore safe mode, i had problems doing it also, had to run it in safe mode, then itm worked a charm,
once that is done, buy a mac
mine has worked like a dream so far! i love it.

Even more strangely than that, you have multiple shortcuts to the same items on your start menu! Looks like there's a computer fiddler in the house
System restore usually fails when the registry has got so f****d up that it can't be safely restored, in other words if windows went ahead and restored it as part of it's system restore shite, sorry I mean, system restore procedure, your PC wouldn't start up.
Get burning your important stuff off to disk and reinstall windows. You're getting the early signs of a potentially catastrophic failure and if you haven't backed up, you might lose the lot unless you want to mess about hooking up your hard drive to other computers

any1 good with wirless networks ? the "usb access point i have", i clicked obtain ip automatically and it now doesnt work and the numbers that were in have disappeared

. ok, any1 know how to do a clean format on a hard drive with nothing on it? all ive got is a xp disk which does not self boot
