now that mobile phones dont offer any ringtones anymore that actually sound like a ringing phone ...
i spent multiple days on the net trying to find something more mature...

it took some really hard work to get my hands on some oldphone.mid files
and some similar wav and mp3 files that sound like a phone from the 70s or earlier...
which is an OK alternative but not enough for me.

so i ended up recording the ring sound from the mobile phones in the movie "The Matrix" (1999) ..
filtered some noise and added a pause..

and now im so proud id like to share it with you.

Because this is not the first forum i post this on, and there's already been quite a demand and also lots of positive feedback, i decided to set up a small webpage for it. Check it out:

cool i was looking for a simple ringtone for my k750i as i dont like using a song as one and i hate polyphonic melodies lol ....... anyway any more simple ringtones?

Well you can always search for 'oldphone.wav' in google... but its a very common ringtone... you'll be reaching in your pocket very often only to find out it was someone else's phone...

Afaik, there was a Nokia Tune remix, but didn't like it too much.

I could create a remix yes... but i wouldnt really know what kind of drums and bass to use... wouldnt that go into the teenie melody direction a bit? what do you have on mind?

anyway.. regardless of this... if any of you have an idea of a cool and normal sounding ring tone... maybe from a movie or similar... just give me a hint... maybe i could add some new ones..
