Hi there,
I'm not actually new to esato, just cant remember my password and dont have my old email account so have to start new..
Anyway, I've bought a k750i here in New Zealand and am planning to update it with the firmware upgrade from the SEUS webpage. Well All I'd like to know is if I flash it, will I be able to put the original SE firmware on it via the USB cable or do i have to get a special Orange version? and will it work here in NZ?
As you can tell Im not too familiar with the limitation of the Orange firmware. I just dont want to stuff my phone....
K750
Unbranded UK (CDA102338/38) - R1BC002
O2 UK (CDA102338/16) - R1BC002
Orange UK (CDA102338/12) - R1AA008
Vodafone UK (CDA102338/68) - R1AA008
T-Mobile UK (CDA102361/2?) - R1AA008
I'm on Vodafone NZ so what do i choose? can i use the DiVinci stuff and set it to NZ somehow?
BTW, I've got all the drivers and have read all the threads on how to do the actual upgrade BUT I've noticed that New Zealand is not one of the regions avaliable in the SE upgrade software. Are the regions in the program just to select what server to downlaod the upgrade from, or is it do do with some settings for the region.
Cheers

If the phone is set to the Orange network, then any SEUS updates will try to flash a more recent Orange-specific firmware to the phone. If there aren't any Orange-specific firmwares or they won't let SEUS make them available online (available via their service centers only) then you'll be out of luck. The only way you're likely to be able to make it work is to use DaVinci and flash it to a generic firmware, as I'm pretty sure that Vodafone NZ won't have any flashes available either. If you use DaVinci, manually enter your CDA as CDA102418/10 and flash a generic EU2 firmware to the phone. That _should_ make the phone compatible with any future firmware upgrades via SEUS but at this stage I wouldn't expect there to be any as it's now an obsolete model I think.
