was wondering if anyone knew of any back up programs except for norton ghost ?
basically i want to transfer everything from 1 hd to another so i could plug the other in and use it if i wanted to

a * denotes that a free trial download is available, but If I remember correctly the trials have limited functionality so you may not be able to make a full disk clone without purchasing them.

I use and recommend Acronis Trueimage.
Its a fantastic program which I use regularly. It comes with the ability to create a bootable CD to do the backup or restore and there is also a windows interface that lets you access the backups themselves to extract individual files if required. It also support full backups or nicremental (i.e. only files that have changed since last backup)
