Is there any way to switch off the promotional banners which appear across the bottom of the screen on my nokia 6280? They appear when you are not in any menus, and I can't seem to find a way to switch it off.

having googled all day, I've found how to switch those annoying banners off -
Go to :
Settings > Display> Standby mode settings > Instant Viewer
And from there turn the instant viewer service off.

yes there is a way to do this because I remember doing it on my friends 6280, he also thought there wasnt a way to turn it off!
Its in the screen/display menu's somewhere I think, what you're looking for is "Instant viewer" thats what they call the thing at the bottom of the standby screen i think!
