Damn Luke, I cant help but symphatise with you. If you were in the US you'd be within your rights to sue the concert promoter.

@ goldenface - shes my ex gf, and now as im sober I cant say I fell too good about it lol, the thing is I know my ex is going to feel so shitty now as shes the kind to get really emotional because of things like this.
I wouldnt want to sue them, but would definetly like to stop this happening again to others, as 2 my knoledge 2 people faited within 1-1.5 hours in the actual hall there could have been others to that I just dont know about... I just think its a serious health and saftey risk that they are taking here, as lets face it if my ex fell over and cracked her head open on a table then it would get allot more attention, and yet they may not hold much responsibility.
I am thinking about writing to the band, the hall, the organisers about this, though I relise that most of the mail will never be replyed to so I ask whats the point?

there is a point, i would do it mate... at worst id expect tickets to another gig and at best (but unlikely she and you could recieve some compensation)... id describe how much youve been looking forward to it, how differcult buying tickets were, and how much time you spent organising this night. Ive had simular problems in the p[ast and have recieved free tickets for alot less - the key is too not look as if yourultra angry etc...
Emphasis you would liek some kind of response...
Basically i missed a concert before as i got lost on the M25 (who hasnt) and turned up as the final song was being sung, i explained this to teh organisers on the night and they offered my 'front row' - yes front row tickets to the show for teh following week, is was chuffed to bits and everything got sorted

p.s. this was a britney spears concert in london (with my girl friend - so dont flame me)
Hope this helps luke, i feel for you man as that night must have been both gutting and fustrating. hope you get something sorted buddy!
Lee
Ps. rememebr you got nothing to lose in contacting them and everything to gain

She didnt sing (what a suprise) but to be fair her stage presence and performance what something else

also the skippy costumes helped lol

thing is its not the money really, I dont particually care about that to much its the fact that we have waited years for this, I spent ages trying to get tickets etc and then literly 5min before the band came on we had to go, one thing that annoys me (as im a selfish prick) is that the paramedics say go to the hospital (which I agreed with) but when we get to the emergency room we waited well over 1 hour just to be seen by a nurse!
anyway I got to ask whats the best way to get in contact with the organisers/producers etc of the gig as i bought the tickets from see tickets or something, but they dont worganise it, should I email snow patrol themseves or what?

if you know snow patrols email do it mate

but otherwise id contact the venue you were watching it, try and speak to someone whos not just a customer services person, and tell them what happened, if they cant do anything try and get another number, email, address or something for the event/tour organisers.. i guess i was lucky as i saw them on the night of the show.... im sure they'll do something coz she did go to hospital and that will be easy to prove
you'd be mad to not try something coz it was a geniune cockup really and its not anyones fault.
All the best lee
