Im not sure if any of you know this, but Vodaphone owns 40% of verizon wireless. (or does verizon own 40% of voda?)
Im suprised they still have different names to be honest, and they dont plan on completley merging anytime soon, but i thought it was fasinating that one owns such a large amount of the other.

Voda is so much better than Verizon (well i dont know that for a fact, but verizon here sucks IMO). Verizon here is CDMA, and Voda is GSM right?

(i heard that from a verizon guy)

There's been speculation that Vodafone might sell it's interest in Verizon if they can buy a GSM carrier in the US. A much rumoured takeover target is T-Mobile's US network.
