> Bluespoon available in the States? When?
Bookmark topic
Hi, this is my first post on the forum, great bunch of people on here, very passionate about these small electronic marvals!
Does anyone have even a rough idea of when the BS will be available for sale in the US? I realized today I REALLY need a good headset for use in the car with my T68i.
I really could use the Jawbone version of the BS more than anything as I am a comms engineer and work frequently in extremely noisy switchroom environments.
I feel I might have to buy HbH-30 for now (only $129 USD) and hope that BS with jawbone comes out by Q1 of next year.

Jan,
You had previously mentioned that the Bluespoon was going to be shown off at Comdex in the US in November, and it would be available for US distribution in time for Thanksgiving (end of November).
Do you know which US distributors are going to be carrying the unit?
I have decided on this headset over the HBH-30 (which is less than half the price here in the US) but I need a place in the US to order it to make warranty/service easier. I really wanted to hold out for the jawbone model but I will just acquire it at a later time.
Now I just need to find a place to buy sometime in the next month or so, not having a good wireless headset is driving me nuts.
Thanks.

Hi there
Yes, Bluespoon will be at Comdex.
I dont know any exact date/month of Bluespoons release in the US.
(someone else must have mentioned Thanksgiving/November,..I didnt

)
IŽll be going to the US in November and will stay there, hopefully forever,..and I might also be at Comdex.
Did think about setting up our own import in the US,..that would be an option.
I think we will have a distributor in the US, when going to the Comdex.
http://www.expansys.com is still the place to get Bluespoon.
Or You could also order it directly at Nextlink.to.
IŽll try to get hold of some more info on the retailers.
Regards

Oupss,..about the Jawbone model You asked about,...currently theres no release-date.
The BluespoonŽs thats out now is actually very noise-cancelling.
Next Bluespoon out should be a double-microphone version, actually meant for very noisy enviroments,..but theres no releasedate on this model either as of now.
(right now the main concern is getting a lot of the "normal" Bluespoons out to the people)

Jan,
Thanks very much for the info, I had thought before that you said that when you were at Comdex Bluespoon would be available in the US at the same time.
I will look into getting a BS from Expanasys, they are saying 5-8 weeks tho.
At least they make it semi-affordable.. $267 US before shipping, ouch! This thing better be good, cuz I can get HBH-30 for $123.
PS. I work in extremely noisy environments frequently, and would be an excellent candidate to do any testing with you guys on double microphone versions of Bluespoon. I am a communications engineer (so I have an excellent technical background) and I frequently find myself working in areas where there is extremely high background noise. Fortunately I'm not deaf yet.

OK Jan, you talked me into it. Bluespoon is now on order with Expansys.
I truly hope it is as good as you have made it out to be for the kind of money I am spending!

Hi Jimpage,
Where can you get a HBH-30 for $129 USD? It would be great if you could let me know.
Thanks

jmpage2 > Nice,...You wont be disappointed
It might actually arrive faster, as production is increasing day by day.
We really want to introduce it in the States,...but as I also told in the other Bluespoon-thread, the Bluespoons being shipped right now are ripped of the shelves (preorders) and so on,..so its pretty hard right now, to actually produce enough Spoons.
Maybe we should have seen it coming,..then again we did,..but also got delays on different materials,..so production had to wait up.
Hope to level things up soon
I would love to be at the Comdex too,..although I dont know if IŽll be able to go just yet.
IŽll be staying in Seattle for the time being.
About the double-microphone version,..IŽll keep You in mind, when we need some "hard-core-test-personel"
Regards
