> k750 flaring edges

Hello all!
I'm kind of new here, but as you can see I've been registered for a while, and been snooping even longer; mainly checking for firmware upgrades and the likes. Anyway, my 8 month old k750i has recently developed a problem. It's got friggin flared edges on the front.
To the left and right of the "calls" and "menu" buttons respectively, the bit that is where the two pieces of the front join has become flared. Is this common, and will it be fixed by SE? Are cosmetic mutations covered under the warranty? I didn't do this, other than this problem, I've got a tiny scrape on the camera cover and that's the only other damage.
It's on an o2 contract and was sent in before to SE about the joystick disability. Any help here is much appreciated.

Well I would doubt that they would fix the flared edges problem as it is a physical fault after months of usage.

I had this happen to my K750 and bought a new original fascia to fix it, once I'd got the covers changed I looked at the old one and found that you can bend the flares back into place if you have the front off, the area over the keys is a metal plate.
To bend them back you need to remove the front cover and flex the plastic away from the flares then push them in.
If you don't want to take you phone apart try taking it to a service centre and see what they say.

only me: I just took the battery cover off the back of the phone to have a look at how I'd go about taking it off. I'm reluctant to buy a new cover, because to be quite honest there isn't anything wrong with the faceplate other than this flaring.
Do I need to take off the two star-head screws to take the front off? I would assume not because that looks like it serves the rear plate. The other two screws probably need to come off but I don't know what type of screwdriver to use...
