Hi!

I have downloaded the UpdateService_Inst_2.6.4.9 file, but when I doubleclick it, it only says "Unpacking 1..2..3..4.........100 %" - and then NOTHING.

When it's done unpacking, it just closes.

I guess it's supposed to open a window with a program or a webpage at this point, but apparently something is preventing this from happening.

I can still see it under running processes, so it hasn't closed.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

What operating system? Anti-viruses are turned off? Administrator rights are received?

What is it that is supposed to happen after unpacking of the file?

SP2 is preferable.
Does an icon of SEUS appear on the desktop?

I guess what's wrong.
You must unpack downloaded exe-file by WinRar (do not execute it). 2 folders will appear InstallerData & Windows. In Windows folder you'll see UpdateService_Inst_2.6.4.9.exe and then execute it for installing updater.

I've done as you said, but when I execute the UpdateService_Inst_2.6.4.9.exe file, still nothing happens!

Good suggestion though...

just one idea - to download one of the previous versions of updater (2.2.11b for example). Or update yr operating system to SP2
