I never take mobile phone insurance but with the 8800 I am considering it and so am wondering if anyone has any experience they can share regarding the Carphone Warehouse lifeline insurance.

I'm interested about how much of a hard time you got when you claimed, whether you got the same phone as replacement etc etc

thanks!

to be honnest I wouldnt bother, because:

such items can be put under your hominsruance under the lost/stolen policy

its a srong phone and unlikely to break

if it does break its likely to be a simple fix such as a new lcd (which costs under £100 these days for the full shabang inc the ribbon)

its going to cost you quite a bit per month, and within a year of owning the insurance you are probally going to spend more on insurance then on a replacment part or repair

and you will prbally end up selling it like the other 2/3

Don't like cpw myself but in this instance i would take the insurance-it's not worth the risk or cost involved if something happens and you don't have it! This message was posted from a WAP device

they were good with me.
When I lost my P900 I didn't have my sim in it, and apparantly you had to have your sim card (which you took your contract with).
So after a little begging. They sent me a free P910

i work in cpw retail & our insurance is very good. it mite seem expensive but 99.9% claims go through. if ur fone is lost/stolen just get a crime reference number and they go through no probs.....

sounds like this is a goer then.

I already phoned them and signed up on Friday and they are sending the paper work but since I have 14 days to decide whether to continue, I thought I might as well ask you lot.

thanks for the feedback!
