The most intense 30 minutes in prison history...

300 Mexican gang members suddenly launch a full scale attack on blacks within the prison and its courtyards, charging at them unexpectedly.

A full scale war breaks out between the Mexican and Black inmates, the Mexicans using home-made weapons and the Blacks unarmed.

Within seconds armed prison guards throw dozens of tear gas grenades into the courtyard, but not to much effect.

After the situation is eventually controlled, it was reported that 89 home-made weapons were found, one man dead from a gun shot to the head and many injured or critically wounded.
