Hello,

I've been trying quite some time now to update my K600i to a new firmware via Sony Ericsson Update Service. I've tried a few different versions of SEUS, without success.

This is the problem :

I try to update the K600i via a DSS-25.
It detects the phone and I see

selected update: K600i EUROPE 3


Then it starts downloading the software but after a while I get the message :

'The current phone software unfortunately cannot be updated using this service.'

Version strings are :

R2G001
prgCXC 12500 14_EU_1_MI R2G001


CDA102376/6 R3A
cxc 1250017 R2G002
EUROPE_3


I've bought the phone simlock-free in the store.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be going wrong ?

Correct... I have an unbranded phone, bought it unlocked out-of-the-box ... It's a dutch phone (From The Netherlands)

NL doesn't seem to be in that list at all

However, I've updated my phone via DaVinci to R2J0005, and then went back to SEUS. Now it worked and I have version R2BA019

Probably SEUS couldn't handle my original version or so... stupid.

I'd also contacted SE Support, but they wanted me to call... ($$)

As far as I can remember, originally it was CDA102376/6 R3A
Then after updating with DaVinci, it was CDA102376/6 R6A

And now after updating again with SEUS, it's CDA102376/6 R3A again.
So the difference would be R3A -> R6A.
But I'm not 100% sure, and now it's back at R3A again.
