Hi!

I've just bought an unlocked T68i which was previously on the Orange network. Does anyone know about a program which i can use to explore my phone via the data cable, so i can change the startup and shutdown screensaver?

Thanks!

Does anyone know of any of the names of flasher software for the T68i? Or the software that Orange use? If so, give me the name so i can see if i can find it, if i do I'll let everyone know where they could download it from.

Thanks!

a: search this forum, someone mentioned software to flash but it's not confirmed just hearsay...pm the individual.

b: too late to say never buy an Orange handset unless your on Orange...but hope you learn your lesson.

Okay guys!

Here comes the ultimate easy way for everyone to remove any annoying startup and shutdown provider animations in your phones (T68 & T300).

What you have to do first is save all your existing phone settings and data (phonebook, pics, ringtones, etc.) using the common Software (Phone Backup and stuff) if you dont want to loose them.

Then you have to connect your phone to your charger, so the phone starts charging.

After that do a master reset, so the phone sets itself to factory settings. When that process starts, wait for a small moment, approximately 5-10secs (definetely not less than 5 secs) and then remove your battery (do note that the phone must remain connected to the charger!).

Then wait until the master reset procedure is finished. After that you can remove the phone from the charger and insert the battery again.

Now your phone should be clean from any annoying provider data! Now you can restore all your phone data which you have saved beforehand. -

This worked for me for a number of phones. But do note that you do this on your own risk! I can not guarantee that you wont harm your phone by doing this!

I've been told that you can restore the logo by master resetting the phone again the normal way (ie. without removing battery).

cheers,

Actually strange enough it did work. I got sonyericsson's original screensaver, however Orange's settings are still in there but they don't bother me.

Thanks Hymie!

No prob, ryn!

What I find interesting that there is scarcely any reaction to this thread here? - No one else suffering from annoying provider shut-down animations in their phones??

Is it only Orange "branding" their phones like this? I know that T-Mobile Germany also inserts those branded start-up and shut-down shows into there phones.. Any else?

cheers,
