> Help Me Please phone's wet

hi, i own a k750i in black and last night i was texting someone in the bath and it fell out my hands!! what did i do, well i took the phone and shook all the water out of it and i ran upstairs to get a hair dryer and took it apart as mucha s i could (battery, mem card, sim card) left the phone overnight and it still won't turn on the screen has some water trapped under it and the top of the battery has this red stuff comming out, i don't kno wheather it's the battery that is not turning the phone on or wheather the phone is messed in general, any help on what to do people???

If you can take it apart more, do so. If not, leave it somewhere warm and dry for a good couple of days, and keep the battery out, that's the most important part, as it accelerates corrosion of wet components if left in. The red stuff may just be the sticker on the battery which indicates whether it's been in contact with moisture. If you have a mate with a similar phone and same battery, try their batt in your phone after it's been left to dry to see if it will power up.
Moral of the story is don't text in the bath, and if you have to lean over the side of the bath to do it so if you do drop it at least it doesn't go in the bath! And make sure your hands are dry

the red stuff is a water indication die yes, its most probable that your battery will be flat, but still keep it out of the phone, you will have to take the screen apart to get rid of the water marks on the relfective layers of it.
not an easy process.

My advise is to plunge mobile into the bath with ethyl spirit for an hour and dry it by natural way without heaters. Then try to get rid of it.

well...you should have definately not tryed to turn the phone on - it would have almost certainly fried the circuit board, but a last chance to get the phone to work - unless you have a warranty that includes water damage...is to take the phone, totally apart with a T6 screwdriver - then leave the phone to dry NEAR a radiator - NOT ON a radiator. Then once you are almost absolutely sure of the fact its dry - clean the red dye out with (i dunno!), and wipe the screen...with a SOFT, damp cloth. BE careful. Your phone warranty is now absolutely void, as soon as there is water that gets into the phone.
and finally, like almost everyone else has said - don't text in the bath!!!!! - if you get your phone wet, water damaged etc. the warranty is void!
I hope this has helped. Ask other people if you are unsure where to get T6 screwdriver / how to take your phone apart - I only fix older phones, not newer ones with the band like things inside etc - older ones are so much more simple!

Try using ispropyl alcohol, such as in medical swabs/wipes, I find these are ideal for cleaning phone pcbs, getting water marks off, etc.

Sadly it probably won't revive a dead phone, but will clean all the crap off the board, useful if a phone's keypad circuits have some residue and marks from water damage, these swabs can get that off
