Hi folks
Of late we've seen some cool apps meant for sending messages, pics or IM etc. coming up in MIDP 2.0 segment.out of those,Mobispine,Multplex(from a New Delhi based company) and Flurrymail seem to be conceptually great...have u guys tried those out on ur cells?how have been the experiences in India, with these apps?(anybody with some experience to share with K508i?)just would like to hear from all...I tried out flurrymail.though it connects alrite, takes hell a lot of time to load mails (gmail,in my case).somehow, couldn't make mobispine connect properly,as it asks to check the internet settings on the phone, time and again.multiplex does deliver messages on time.but not yet succesful on sending and retrieving pics.cheers!

I am using W550i and am on Airtel india. Flurrymail works alright for me but i prefer to use opera mini for Gmail. Mobispine doesn't work in my phone as it requires full internet gprs like mobile office. I haven't heard of multiplex. Can you tell me where to download it from? For instant messaging i use the in built client , my friends, and am currently on Smartvas service. It works gr8 and supports msn too. In my opinion the greatest java program for my phone gotta be the opera mini modded by the russian.

Hi there.well,so flurrymail does work for some eh?good to hear that.in my case,it keeps repeating falsely that there are No new mails.ok,multiplex as well is available at getjar.com.today i came across a proggy 'shoot and send'which again says, network failure everytime it tries to connect to net.i totally agree that operamini is the coolest one by far!.

You can download MultipleX from www.cellserf.com or GetJars.com. I am using MultipleX Version 1.1.0 over Nokia 3230 and am able to send Text, Pic, Voice and Video messages and emails. Others, I know, are using the application over Nokia 6600 and Communicator. Motorola devices are able to receive text, voice, pic and video message, but can only send text msgs as the software is not certified yet. It seems only certified sofware can send MM messages from Motorola phones.
The MultipleX web site also lists few other devices as reported by users who are using MultipleX (http://cellserf.com/ShowDevices.jsp).

I have been sort of tryingout Flurrymail on my 9500 for about 2 weeks. What I like best about it is the fact that I can manage multiple email acccounts with it. And it does work well.

But beyond that, its pretty limited in comparison with the 9500's built-in mail client. It lacks HTML viewing, attachments, and greater download flexibility.

Hi!yes, multiplex works kind of ok on my SE k508i,barring video and voice mails.pics sent r promplty gettin delivered.but then the hitch is of low penetration of the app.among gprs users.how about we guys sharing our ids here and like forming a group(a cool feature of this conceptually good app)so that we can catch up easily?just a thought...well looking forward to seeing new cooler features from this delhi based cellserf firm.cheers!

Hi! Sure, we can share our MultipleX ids here and build a group eventually. Mine is vishalbatra. BTW, did you try to send and download Jokes in Image format? I tried it and it worked fine. Pardon the PJs though

Yo!
well,my ID is iamzdnet.
the pic jokes are real good fun rather than just the plain text fare.i did receive one...(which says "Plz wash ur hands before u exit the restroom" or something... )
right now my gprs is not functional as i had switched from prepaid to postpaid on my airtel a couple days back and these guys are taking way too long to re-activate the gprs.hopefully it'll get done shortly...
catch u all there...!
