We may be able to personalise own sms tone in the future software upgrade.........but some people saying that upgrade to the latest software does increase the sms tone volume !!!!!

Personally, I don't think SE will let us alter the SMS tone in the later firmware. Because in their homepage, they say that latest software will not add any new function to it. The latest software will only fix things, or add some minor changes, and I don't think SMS tone is a minor thing. When some old SE customers know that their T68i can't change SMS tone but some new T68i can, they will claim for it, and SE will be in great trouble...

They shld just stick to the normal tone form the older models. I just use silent for sms tone. At least I can feel the vibration rather than hearing the tone...

hey!!!! do email if SE release an upgrade that will modify my Message Alert tone. The ring volume is just too low and it's supposed to alert me of incoming messages, same thing with the tone itself. SMS alert tones are a big deal here in the Phils., we use SMS more than voice calls..... and it's a great thing to integrate more individuality to your phone. For now, I guess I'll hold on to my T68i for a little longer.
