I use my phone alto at night and so the light is helpful - but really annoying when its starts to flash on and off after about 15 secs, dose anyone knwo how to make the light stay on constantly even if i ahve to downlaod an aplication ro soemthign - thx...

on my W800i, i go into Organiser menu and select light from the list and select option for 'ON'. this keeps the light in an 'always on' state unless you turn it off. The SOS mode is the flashing mode.

If you're talking about the W810i, the flashing light problem is software related. Sony ericsson are aware of this and have released an update but only for unlocked non-branded phones. SE are waiting for the Networks to give the ok to release the update on locked/branded phones.
If you can't wait then you can unlock and debrand your W810i using the Davinci software,
