Does anyone here know much about java?

I've been trying to add a large image to my phone of the london underground map, to save on getting the paper versions all the time.

Is there anyone here who can create a "simple" application so that the map can be added to the software on my phone, that the user can scroll and zoom in and out of?

Would be cool if it was do-able, would help saev the planet!

Thats fine if you want it to print out a detailed journey plan but I actually want to be able to view the map on my k750i.

Using the large gif map from the TFL web site is a no-no, I can't zoom in, so I was wonderring if anyone has the means to turn it into a java application so that you can zoom in and out, and scroll through a large version of the map?

So many paper maps are printed and used daily it would certainly stop me from having to use the paper copies everytime I go, and I know lots of people who would use it.

Can anyone do this?

We tried to load a jpeg map of around 1600*1200 into a w800.
It works, but Zooming and panning is unuseably slow.
I suggest you to resize your map to max. 800*600.
