This is bad news but Sony will not allow customers to resell PS3 games to other players in stores By having users purchase a license to play a game rather than the game itself, Sony would retain ownership of the game therefore making it illegal to sell it secondhand. Secondhand game sales are a huge market, and Sony sees it as revenue lost when someone pays a shop for a used game rather than Sony directly for a new one. Players accustomed to being able to spend a fraction of the price for an older game, however, probably won't take too kindly to Sony's techniques.

I was actually
looking for reasons to buy a playstation, as as far as i'm concerned their a bit crap. So I thought i'd give them (another) try with these next gens.
But I mean it seems Sony are trying to sell every copy of a game they can, a bit cheap... Where as Nintendo are offering free downloads of older games. I know which company I'd rather be with!

Hmm not too sure, I mean I don't think there's any point in them doing this, as ECS said, people will probably find a way around it.
PS3 may do well as a console, in fact I doubt it will do anything else... but I just don't see what the fuss is about. I just don't feel they offer much, Nintendo offers innovation, and Xbox with the great online gameplay was enough to make me buy it. Blu-ray disks and a hefty price tag just don't do it for me.

This is not true. As confirmed by Jennie Kong, UK PR Manager at SCEE.
