Hi all.

Incase anyone was wondering (as i was) can you convert your favourite DVD's to play on the phone?

Yes you can:

I use a programme called DVD copy to back up (MY DVD's that i own) and back them up on my hard drive, then i use GKnot to convert to mp4 and specify a file size under 400 mb for final conversion. Then i use Mobile AMR converter to convert them to avi and finally i use Nokia Multimedia converter pro to convert to 3gp.

Once done the film is small enough to go onto the standard 512 card supplied with the phone....cool

A bit long winded but a few clicks leave it be to do what it has to and before you know it you have full length movies on your phone.

The quality is not too bad but not too shoddy either.

give me your comments on this or let me know if there is any easier ways to do this.

that nokia multimedia converter is not any good, it gives very low quality and big filesizes if you compare to others, you should try to find another software
