Last night i tried to update my phone using SEUS. So i followed everything as per the instructions. And it was all going well, and it said "Software downloading", so i minimized the window, and left the computer unattended. After an hour, i came back, it was still downloading as i am using dial up, so kinda slow. So i minimized the window and did some other work. But after sometime, i checked if it was done, and saw that the SEUS program, it was in the first point. So i thought it had finished and disconnected my phone. But when i switched on the Phone.. nothing happened. No reaction at all! even i charged it, no reaction from it. I think its dead.
Now when i tried to go through the update process again, it said that my phone had the latest software installed. Now i have a dead phone and dont know wat to do.
What shall i do? Anyone can tell me if the "recovery mode" is removed?
or how do i go to it?
i couldnt find the recovery mode on the SEUS website or the SEUS downloaded program.
Please help

the phone is actually dead by the way. since youve committed the biggest mistake of updating via SEUS.... that is, using a dial-up connection! its a NO NO!!!! important files are being downloaded here and the thing is, it must be quick so we can minimize hanging up while downloading some important files straight into yer phone.. so the best thing to use is a broadband connection.

and about yer phone being dead. i cannot say that you can have it replace via warranty, coz you urself have implicated the cause of the prob. so wot you oughta do now is go to www.davinciteam.com study the site and study the system coz this will help you alot... or if you dont wanna spend too much dough. CHECK THIS OUT

SEUS does not download direct from net to phone, it downloads to PC first then when it successfully has all the files it flashes the phone.

I've done the dial up update a couple of times and whilke it takes an hour or so get the files it does work fine!

I also am stuck in the country with dial-up and have updated my phone successfuly by leaving the computer running, and phone connected, overnight.

When I take a look the next morning, SEUS is always strangly at the Welcome screen (no 'Your update was completed successfuly' message here either), but the phone is good.

This is an unusual case with the phone no longer working? I trust you've tried replacing the batttery etc?

I used 80 to 140kb/s internet speed to update my phone..it takes only 15 minutes long. Thanks God,everything works fine. It's not broadband either,is it?

hey guys.. thanks for you all tryin to help, but its not working.
When i was doin it , the battery was 85 % full. So i think it was alrite.
But the phone aint working now. When i try to do the update again it says i already got the latest software, so cant update further. But in some forums i saw something like the "recovery mode" , i searched it everywhere in the SEUS website, but it wasnt there. Do you guys know where to find it, or they have stopped it.
Wel, to go for Davinci, i dont have a credit card, no credit card in my country, and also i dont think there are any service centres around.
Well, do you think i can update it when the new Firmware comes out??
Do you know the time gap between new firmware releases, and wud u be knowing the latest firmware of the k750i.
M pretty stuck. wish i didnt update that darn firmware.
Guys please gimme some help.

I know that had troubles with the firmware server this Wednesday, and it seems the problems are not solved completely today either... so it can be this that caused the upgrade to fail... in that case you can have your phone fixed under warranty.

damchey85 you have only one chance to reanimate your mobile for free. I don't say it helps but try to do it. Delete folder DB in Program files/Sony Ericsson/Update service and retry to update. I promise that your mobile will update but i don't promise it'll powers on. if unsuccessful, so i don't know free ways of solving prob.

I experienced the problem once when trying upgrade a K750. It could not be switched on, and the battery could not be recharged anymore. The service people told that a hardware unit inside was faulty. This message was posted from a K750
