This is my first post on this forum, but I have been here befor and read guides on how to flash a SE v800 to z800i and how to unlock it.
Yesterday I did, with no problems what so ever. I flashed it with the R1AB014 firmware and unlocked it with SeTools. Havent seen any bugs yet. ....Well, maybe one!?
Al locks are open in the phone, but when i change to another operator (card) than vodafone it cant find any network. All it find is voda 3G network thats unavailable for the Comviq 2G card Im using.
Whats the problem? I thought that after you unlocked the phone it will work with any operator!

In the network settings ensure that the phone isnt set to just receive 3g signal.

No, its set to Gsm and 3G. If i put it on Gsm only i wont get a signal with whatever operator card i use. But when i use 3g with gsm I have a gsm signal.
I have no idea what the phone is up too

No one?
I think its the gsm antennar, if the phone now has two different for the gsm and 3G net.
I dont think it finds GSM at all, I cant choose it when you search for new network and use GSM/3G. Only the 3G net!

Yeah, no locks active. And it reads other SIMcards with no problems
Thank you for all your help, but my guess is that there is something wrong with the antennar. I have it checked out today. If its not damaged, I have no clue whats going on.
It doesnt seem like this have happend before for other v800/z800 users?!

Yep, something was damaged allright. Some water had squeesed in to the phone somehow and destroyed the connection between the gsm and 3G selection. So it cant find the gsm net because of that.
Now im just waiting for the right parts to repair it and everything will hopefully be okey.
