Now ive been wondering which is more popular, the wii or ps3.
I know lots of people want the ps3 because of its history (ps1/2) and the games etc, but I also know lots of people who want the wii because of the history of nintendo and the interactive controls.
Which will be better?

I've always seen nintendo aimed towards younger children...where as the Playstation is more grown up...will be sticking with the PS3..has more pedigree.

@ axxxr - I grew up with a ps myself, but now hate the damn things, I have a xbox and will always have one, the ps3 is just uncreative and booring to me, theres nothing really special about them.
I believe the wii is a completly differnt type of thing, I think its aiming to creat video gaming a social activity, all those games look crap and boring if you play buy yourself, but add a few beers and a few mates and bingo you got a bit of fun. Though I do agree its aiming at 5-30 year olds

ps3 just for the smackdown and pes series and resident evil and gta. I know all these titles will be on the 360 but i am a sony fan boy although i have all current gen consoles.

I grew up with a SNES actually the SNES is older than me... but right now Im with the PS. Obiviously in term of which is better.. ofcoz its the PS3.. however in terms of more fun and with the family and more frends... its the Wii for me.. Im getting both anyways... PS3 in my room and Wii in the game room.

well i will getting the Wii. Sony have royaly pissed me off. They are openly admitting that they are going to charge us almost $200 more for the high spec PS3 than it will cost in the US. This is just completely not on. I am fed up of large corrporations ripping us off here in the UK and opperating an openly unfair pricing structure. I mean it is not like you can argue it costs $200 more to ship them to the UK now can you. And the damn thing costs enough in america never mind before they add on this load extra. Pull your finger out sony or this PS3 WILL flop - they seem to think they can rely on reputation - which is arrogance at it's most dangerous.
