I am trying to set Nero Showtime as my default player for all video types. I have been into the control panel-tools-folder options-file types, and I haved set all the mpg,avi types to play using Nero Showtime, but my files are still opening up using Windows Media Player. Can anyone help me on this please.

right click a mpg file, click open with and click choose program, choose nero and make sure the box saying "always use this selected program to open this file" is checked.
Do the same with avi files etc.
Should work.

Thanks for your help. But this only seems to happen when I am watching things on the net (not saying what, ahem). It opens the file into windows media player instead of nero showtime?
