i hate that the camera button is on the side (and that you need to push it so hard and wait so long before it turns the camera on or takes a picture). is it at all possible to reassign that function to the middle (play/pause) button?

i sometimes also experience the whole camera exiting if i try to take pictures with a lot of light in the background. anybody else experience that too? when i press the camera button the whole camera mode exits and i'm returned to the standby modus. fricking annoying.

otherwise most everything else is great. here's a tip from me:
if you want to backup your sms messages download float mobile agent:
http://fma.sourceforge.net
here's what i had to do to get it to work with my SE wi810i:
http://sourceforge.net/tracke[....]713&group_id=71167&atid=533372

cheers ya'll!

Nick... I'm afraid that your phone might be going bad...

I assume you have a k750, and those phones, after a time, may get a problem with the shutter button that it'll exit the camera app. Also might be firmware related...

So, adressing your original question; it can't be mapped to the middle button in the front, but, you could use some other software (JAVA) to take pictures with using the front buttons.

Regarding the issue, I'd suggest to update your firmware using SEUS and, if it still has a problem; you may want to take advantage of the warranty and take it to the service center...

Good luck.

@nickleus, go to this thread...

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=123155#post1666591

click on the sites provided in the thread, to get a copy of the K750i default files backup...

inside the zipped file will be a game called 'puzzle slider'... which lets you take pics without using the camera button...

however, from my tests so far, the picture quality isnt as good... experiment with it and let me know how you go... cheers..

i wish i could do this for my k750i, too.
it's so difficult to take portrait shots with the shutter button on the side.
