I wanted to ask something about Virtual Dub. Can it be used to crop videos, change resolution or just cut videos?

It does everything and more.

To crop a video, you go to filters then select "Null Transform"... it all takes a bit of a while to learn what everything does, but it becomes easier. Just mess around with it.
