Where the hell is K790. Its not on the sonyericsson site or pricerunner.

if i have to choose 3g i go whit nokia N73. halo, 75% in sweden use non 3g. whats the point. i have 3G and all my friends have 2 or 2.5.

ma meni je 3g ko devojka sa kurcem. to mi samo bode oci, znam da je prednost ali to ne koristim jer pre svega necu da menjam operatora a kao drugo ta kamera napred se prlja i to tek tako lako. cuj ko da drzavne ustanove mogu da me vide preko 3g. poslodavac ali ne privatnik, bolnica, biro za zaposljavanje, itd da sad ne nabrajam koje sve ustanove ima. znaci svi lokalni razgovori ne koriste 3g a ni mnogo ljudi koji imaju mobilni. cemu svrha zaista. onda bolje praviti 3g bez dve kamere vec samo jedna kao sto je ranije pravila nokia. ja mislim da ce oni napraviti mnogu bolju verziju od k790 koji nece biti 3g. zato to i rade sto rade.

Well logically it is fair enough. Think about it. If SE were to sell the K790 in the UK etc., wouldn't it just be a tad cheaper than the K800. Most consumers would buy the one with 3G and in the end it would probably just confuse most people.

Hmmm - I don't see the problem, UMTS phones use GSM net when UMTS is not available, so it's really no difference if you for instance in Sweden is stuck with a GSM SIM card (or don't want a UMTS card).

They should have made the K800 with EDGE, and sold it across Europe. Most places around there that currenlty don't have 3g have at least 2 or 2.5G (EDGE). The K790 makes sense for the US, where we have completely different frequency 3G (1900 HSDPA/UMTS) in limited cities and EDGE pretty much everywhere.
