I bought the dcu-10 (usb) datacable almost a month ago. It took me two weeks to get it to work and while browsing Esato I noticed that I was definately not alone.

may produce nice phones but their software to datacommunication through cable connections simply aint very good.
Most people that buy the cable apparently do not have an IrDA port or do not wish to spend alot of money on a bluetooth solution. There is another cheaper and easier way.
Yesterday I went and purchased an USB IrDA adapter. It only cost me 100 DKR (10-15$) more than the usb-cable. I use both a labtop and a pc to connect to my phone. It was dreadful to carry arround the data cable along with my lap'ie.
Another great thing is... I DON'T EVER HAVE TO MAIL THE PICTURES I TAKE MY MY MCA-20 TO MY COMP TO MY MAIL EVER AGAIN! THANK GOD! .
For those who doesn't know what I'm talking about: Once you've taking pics with the mca-20, you can't upload them to your pc from the phone using the cable... using IrDA...
U CAN! Ahhhhh...

I 'used' the dcu-10. It's an original Sony-Ericsson cable (it's the usb version).

You won'y find it in a generel electronics store. Put look for it in 'pc gadget stores'. Smaller shops that sells pc utilities.

IrDA is really better and it does not only work for a mobile device... it can be used in different things
