I've tried this when i had my p910i/k750i & now i want to update my W810i & i'm getting annoyed!

I install SEUS, reboot, start program & it downloads the update files. It restarts & i choose my country, at this point i get an error of either:

'An error occured while accessing the local information in the installation directory, please try again or reinstall the application'

or

'An error occured while downloading information from the server, please make sure the computer is online & restart the application'

Now i've uninstalled & reinstalled several times, used different directories & different drives. My pc is online & firewall set to allow connections , i've turned OFF my firewall totally but nothing helps!

I'm using the latest SEUS from the SE site (2.6.4.9)

Any ideas?!

I can't open SEUS either, I just get the message "Could not locate a Java Virtual Machine"... even after I have uninstalled the JVM and reinstalled it twice (and SEUS too...what a piece of crap).

Perhaps, a 'clean' Windows will run SEUS smoothly...Many installed-programs might cause overlapping interference one another...We'll never know how a tiny file may affect the bigger system. According to the experiences we had in this forum, many people had troubles such as: Java error, Java script is missing or something, Macromedia Flash isn't up to date, inability to launch SEUS, can't locate the local server,and so on--which results in failed update, even when the green bars almost reach its maximum completion...then, a dead phone is with you..and everyone complains SEUS as a crap. I have updated my K750i for 8 times--some are re-updates only to prove that SEUS works perfectly. And it does. No problems at all. My PC never says the error before--and hopefully never! I'm not an expert in IT though, but I guess too many 'hacked' programs outside may result in horror result of updating. Perhaps the expert can explain more about it. Even my internet connection is not Broad Band...

SEUS is bad piece of sw . Use 3rd party software and you dont have problem at all ;D
