> Royal Mail getting worse - next day delivery?

Ok now normally I wouldnt bother with this, but I actually find this appauling. I sent a package about 3 weeks ago via RM special delivery and paid something like £6 quid for this and although it was garanteed for next day it came a day late, I didnt bother filing a claim as it was just one item.
Now I had a item posted to me yesterday and guess what, its not here today. I even went down the rm sorting office and its not there. I trust the dude that sent it to me and im getting the tracking number tonight so will track it, but he paid like 6 quid for it to get to me.
Now im sure you expect it to end there, but it doesnt, I also sent a item to the guy who was shipping the item to me (payment) and funnily enough he didnt recieve his parcel either although he only waited in for the postman and after then had to go out.
So thats 3 parcles related to me which did not get there in time, I will indeed be putting claims in to the royal mail soon along with trying to claim compensation for all items, thought I find im still waiting over a month for my last 3 claims to be sorted (3 first class parcles misssing in the post). The last claim I put in never came back, so from their neglegence Im missing £120 worth of goods which were lost in the mail. What really annoys me though is the fact they have recently increased their prices. On some items over 10% yet the service im getting is shocking.
I did actually try to write a complaint email though it didnt actually get answered, I was insulted to find that I got a copy and paste respnse from some doink who evidently didnt even bother to read the question/complaint as if they did I wouldnt have had the unrelated response back that I recieved.
I now ask you what is so hard about running a descent operation? My post man is a ledgend and I feel sorry for him as people like him are having their jobs threatened as the RM are trying to lower costs by hireing a ton of european workers which will take far lowerwages and dont mind being explotied!

I haven't really had any problems myself everything i have ever posted has arrived and i always recieve items of people from here and ebay without any problem.
But i do know many people who have had issues with them, for the price you have to pay especially for special delivery there service some people recieve is crap!

Have you not thought about using a different service at all i hear citylink are pretty good.
Royal Mail are more handy i guess. Leeboy leaving post left outside is appaling that has never happened to me my postmen are great always really friendly and they always knock with large items and get me or my family to sign for recorded items.

thats a great idea, we can also use parrots or carrier pigions as delivery birds and have it dropped at their feet or delivered through the window!
O also because the royal mail are so good the package sent to me isnt even trackable as the tracking number shows nothing on their system. Great
