> n80 on O2 £229! as an upgrade

I am on the £30 a month tarrif and was told it would cost £229 to upgrade!! thats a bit steep isn't it?

Phoned the "I want to get a discount by pretending to cancel my contract" department and when they have the phone (within 7 days from now) I will get it for free on online200 (my current tarrif) for £10 off per month for 12 months. So saving me £120 plus free phone.

any time but the will have you pay the amount still due on the contract and the cost of the upgrade.
The new contract then run for 12 months from that new date.
Not very cost effective but I know what it is like when you want a new phone NOW.
