666

Its the 7th now but ah what the hell

*The telephone number of the diablo.

*Alternatively, the Chinese food order of the Beast. With really crispy duck.

*In Greece they believed that the number on the door of Mt. Olympus had three gold 6's enscribed upon its knocker.

*Proven in a 1997 poll to be God's favorite number.

*Rotated it will result in 999 or ggg. Possibly showing that the British emergency services are secretly run by the Devil?

*VISA is another, little known form of the mark of the beast:
VI=6 (Roman Numerals) S=6 (Greek) A=6 (Babylonian)

*Ronald Reagan's house number was 666, but he had the number changed to hide his secret identity as Satan. Ronald Reagan's first, middle, and last names all have six letters in them.

*Ancient Romans used to identify citizenship with a mark of "666" arranged in a "triskele" pattern with the "tails" pointing inward. Consequently, the Roman Empire was smashed by the Visigoths, who rightfully thought that any civilization that marked themselves with cutesy widdle three-petaled flowers were total wusses.

*Al Gore's name in all lowercase letters, when added up with each character's ASCII value, adds up to 666. This is undeniable proof that the world narrowly avoided the Apocolypse, the Rapture, Revelation, and all that hoopla in the 2000 election.

*On a telephone pad, "Mom" is spelled with the digits 666.

*Barney the Purple Dinosaur is also known as Satan, because: CUTE PURPLE DINOSAUR, in classic latin letters: CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR. And then C + V + V + L + D + I + V = 100 + 5 + 5 + 50 + 500 + 1 + 5 = 666

666... What a number, I can't wait to be that old.

8+1*6*9+6+111+63=... ut oh... 666!!!! ahhhhh

8+1 = 9 which is a upside down 6... then 6 again, then 9 which is an upside down 6, then another 6, then 111, which is like 666, but different, then 63, which idk, but it all makes 666... thats so scary...

just playin

I once read somewhere that 666 originated from Greek mythology (I think) in that they have 32 gods and if you add them all together such as 1 + 2 + 3 ..... + 31 + 32 you will have resulted in the value of 666. So its not actually the number of the beast.

Said this on one of the links posted:

The use of the number 666 as a personification of evil comes from the Bible:

Firstly, it says:

Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number
of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred
sixty-six.
-Revelations chapter 13, Verse 18

Then, it continues later:

The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. They have no rest
day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever
receives the mark of his name.
-Revelations chapter 14, Verse 11

And did anyone watch that program last night on Channel 4 (UK) called The Curse Of The Oman? I missed it because I was too tired but this was the description for it...

"Investigating the jinx alleged to have plagued the filming of the movie The Oman, including eyewitness accounts of deaths during production"

hmmm...

My numbers were wrong, 36 not 32.

The explaination on http://www.geocities.com/CollegePark/4885/666.html is funny as. The bits relating to 1 and 3 being man numbers and 2 for woman.

Yeah i watched it, it was...hmmm...coincidental at best, with a smattering of media flair to spice it up. For example, a plane carrying crew got hit by lightning, and they interviewed the producer (who was also a pilot) and he said "yeah, it happens quite often" and then they made a huge deal about it when another plane carrying crew got struck by lightning. Also, the stuntman who came up with the beheading scene got killed making another film, but wait a minute! He's a stuntman, right? Its a dangerous profession. Also, the animals going crazy was mentioned. A tiger killed its keeper - well, its a tiger, not a kitten.... Baboons went crazy - well guess what, you were in their territory, thats what they do! And, rottweilers barked! - Well, blow me down with a feather, i thought they were supposes to be vicious for the film...It was just a load of cobblers to be honest. People died making Mad Max 2 in car crashes, doesn't mean it was an evil force at work.

Hehe yeah, i think they've looked a little too hard at that lol and anyway, i would have said the number 3 was a feminine number too, when i turn it on its side i notice a nice set of diddies, not some dudes hairy sack!
