great news. all your good work hustling sony to fix this dam hissing bug. lets hope it will totally disappear with the new updatei hear it will be the last.

Latest Firmware update : R1BC002new

R1BC002 new
- Released on SEUS for the K750 on 9/3/06.
- Released on SEUS for the W800 on 18/3/06
- Free memory is now listed in MB instead of KB.
- Photos are now taken as soon as the shutter sound is heard.
- Slight increase in speaker and headphone volume.
- Slight increase in phone responsiveness.
- FIX: Background noise during lower volume calls ('hissing bug') now fixed.
- FIX: All USB transfer issues now fixed.
- FIX: Increased stability in PhotoDJ and VideoDJ applcations.
- BUG: m4a tags are not read with this firmware.
- JBenchmark 3D LQ: 202
- JBenchmark 3D HQ: 126
- JBenchmark 2: 340
- JBenchmark 1: 3889

actual firmware for K750i is R1CA021 and the W800i version should be released within next two weeks.

There's also a new developer fw version R2BD001 for K750i.

If SE can fix the hissing on low volumes in the media player and can give me the M4A tags back, then all problems have been solved imo.
No need for any more firmwares then.

Are you saying (tupac1) that theres a firmware comming soon for the W800i that will 'solve' this hissing bug? Or is it the hissing during low volume calls?

frankly i don't know why are you so bothered ... i used a friend's w800 and tryed to pinpoint the hissing sound and nothing (i tryed from the lowest volume to the highest) or maybe it's just me :-/
