Hello,

Today I've seen two Artic Blue T68i (Hard R4A / Firm R2E) and one Ziroocan Grey T68i (Hard R3A / Firm R2B). (Both same LCD Serial)

I observed that the screen on the grey model was "mooooore" clearer and brighter than the two blue models.

The Beach picture was more clear, the sand was more "real" and the sky had more gradient than the two Artic blue phones.

Any of you have noticed this?
Why happen this?

Could be the age between the models, older stuff will then to fade or someone might have tweaked the colour settings.

The phone is not old, because it was on the shop, the received last week.

About the screen settings, I reseted all the phones to zero.

The grey and one blue were on the zero contrast setting. And I changed the settings to be more equal to the grey one, but the colors weren't as brighter and sharper.

The other blue one, I reseted to zero setting, and then tried to find the best contrast possible. But the quality was the same as the other blue.

Today I upgraded from t68 (grey) to t68i (arctic blue).
I do prefer the mellow-yellow-lit keypad from the t68 above the cold blue-lit keypad from the t68i

First of all, there's no such thing as ziroocan gray. only mineral gray, gold, artic blue, and lunar gray. The first two were the original t68 colors, the last two are colors of the t68i (of course you can always have the fascias changed). The difference you noted would have nothing to do with the color of their casings, those could be due to internal hardware performance. This post was posted from a T68i

The gold T68 was called Ziroccan Gold. From the T68 and T68i phones that I have seen the quality of the LCD screen can vary greatly. It would be interesting to know why that is so.

Sorry I didn't remember the names so when I said:

Ziroocan Grey I was referring to Lunar Grey

(I know that the difference of colour is not caused by the case.)

What I mean is that the lunar grey has better screen than the artic blue due to hardware differences (In the first post of this topic I showed the hardware and firmware versions of the phones).

And what I want to know is:
1) Some of you noticed this difference?
2) Is this difference solved in the Blue Artic T68i hardware R4B?

Thanks,

it is mentioned before that different batches of phone give different quality of hardware, i think the firmware has nothing to do with it but mayb it is possible to set the light brighter, not sure bout it. alternatively if u dun mind voiding your warranty, upgrade to the latest software first then change the bulbs I think SE has a wierd QC. actually there are sveral probabilities that made the light dimmer

1) different batch
2) it is a recon set upgraded by SE from T68 to T68i

but this problem shouldnt exist for t68i is known to have a brighter light than T68
