> EXIF information on MXE-60 compatible phones

I was out into the jungles a few weeks back with a friend happily snapping shots with our phones and when we got back and uploaded everything to the PC, I noticed something in the EXIF headers:
both phones had the mxe-60 attached and i can swear the flash was engaged in both shots.
his phone: W800i/R1AA008 - reads "Tungsten" with the flash on
my phone: W810i/R4CK003 - reads "Unknown" with the flash on
Folks with K750/W900/etc have you checked your EXIF headers?

Seems like you are quite interested in studying Exif data. Unfortunately you have chosen a very poor method. I'd recommend to use freeware
ExifReader instead of Windows XP's Advanced Properties.
What you noticed and wrote about is the White Balance setting on your camera. Attaching the MXE-60 won't change that. Your friend had selected
Incandescent (which will be displayed as
Tungsten on XP's Properties).
You could make following test: take a serie of photos with all the different White Balance settings on your camera. Then read the Exif data, the values of Light Source property.
My K750, firmware R1CA021, delivers following data, viewed by XP:
Read like "Camera White Balance = Light Source Value"
Auto = Unknown
Daylight = - (Blank)
Cloudy = - (Blank)
Fluorescent = Fluorescent
Incandescent = Tungsten
But if you would use ExifReader instead, the following data would be available (I pasted all the alternative settings together):
