Had the N70 for two days and I'm starting to show withdrawel symptoms...everytime I find myself feeling for the dial only to realise I'm using a Nokia. Anyone here with the same experience.

I miss the 5 way jog-dial, big style. But... I do like the new return button on the M600i, so it kind of makes up for it...
The Z5, think it was first with the 5-way jog, still is the best phone i've ever had....! Miss that tremendously!

Yes, the five-way jogdial is probably the most innovative feature they put on a phone especially for a smartphone. I don't think I'll be going back to SE anytime soon.

it depends if u got used to jog or not. had for a short time p9, never used jog. however imo the placing for the jog on the right side of fone would be better

having had the Z5, Z7, P800, P900 and P910 I have found the jogdial a very useful interface and its the one thing I keep asking for in the windows mobile devices I use.
finally though, HTC are giving me what I want. The Hermes has a scroll wheel as seen in this pic

No way, unless you are left-handed...
If you hold the phone with your right hand, you need your index finger to properly control it... (Especially with a 5G jog dial.)

About not going back to SE due to lack of 5G, you should try the 3-directional one with the return button, works just as well, seriously. (Just not as 'neat' a solution.)

The reason I never bought a P800, P900 or P910 was because it didn't have joystick/d-pad. I actually hated the idea of the jog dial, mainly because the menu "sphears" didn't rotate in a loop (unlike the menu in older Sony phones). But then I came to understand it's usefullness in full screen mode.
However, with the keypad on, I'd still want a joy stick/d-pad. This is why the P990 might be the first P-series phone I buy! I guess I was SE's target customer
Now if it would only come out

Yeah, in flipclosed-mode the jogdial loses some of it's usefulness...some sort of d-pad would've made the P-series extra cool.
