Folks,
im after a new bike...
currently ride a 1999 Cannondale F2000sl.
got a max budget of £3000 plus my old bike if i want to sell it...
looking for a road racing bike, ideally carbon or ti or a nice mix of the two!
been looking at merlin and litespeed frames but i dont think my budget will go that far, so looking for a little help..
dont want a stock bike, ie i dont want a Cannondale six13.
any help would be well received.
cheers

£3000 for a bike omg, very serious rider indeed. I am actually looking for a bike myself so i can ride to uni, sure the novelty will wear off after like a day, hehehehe.
I think batesie rides a fair bit maybe an idea to ask him?

Blimey that is expensive! If you want one though go for it, will be worth the money if you go cycling alot which you do.

These ones...
"On October 20 2005 at the Lance Armstrong Foundation Gala an anonymous buyer purchased a Madone 5.9 SL that was donated by Trek and jeweler Alan Friedman. The bicycle is covered with gold and man-made diamonds and sold for $75,000.00 USD making it the world's most expensive bicycle."
"The world's most expensive production bicycle is the Bernard Hinault bicycle with prices ranging from $7,885 to $10,660 and you have to pick it up in Bretagne, France but they do cover the airfare.
