Go to Entertainment-Photo DJ-and press it. It takes at least 30 seconds to go into the application. Is this normal? Even when exiting, another 30 seconds is needed...my f/w is R1CA021. I am sure this PhotoDJ application has loaded too long ever since I bought my K750..

no, its almost instant here
could it be that you have alot of images in your phone that it needs to scan first?

It takes 17 seconds in average, not 30, sorry, to start the application. I have only 164 pictures,14 MB..anyway,is it true that PhotoDJ only reads the Memory Stick? It doesn't read the internal memory. Mine is 512 MB Sandisk..

I've got 10mb of pics on my 256mb stick, only 14mb free and it only takes about 2 secs to open a 2mp image in the editor.

Indeed,if you open it from File Manager..and edit it,no problem at all-even my phone does it very quickly. But, have you done it through Entertainment (on desktop),then PhotoDJ,let's see how long does it take to run the application..

Just tried it your way, exactly the same, no more than 2 seconds for the same image.

Thanks for the info. I just found out the slow loading of PhotoDJ was because I didn't make any sub-folders at all under Pictures folder. Just tried making 5 sub-folders and PhotoDJ loads pictures/scans more quickly..only 1 second to start, and at least 2-5 seconds to load each folder containing pictures (depending on the size for each) and 1 second to start to edit one picture we select.

Well, that's it. Actually I scarcely use Photo DJ. I just went through the menu and suddenly noticed that Photo DJ loaded too long...It has been answered then. Photo DJ only reads files in JPEG format, not even PNG and indeed, animated GIF. And it only reads Memory Stick Pro Duo-not the phones' internal memory. Have you noticed that? In my opinion, the slow loading is partly due to Photo DJ's system to scan ONLY JPEG files stored ONLY in Memory Stick, meaning that it excludes all files in Animated GIF and still images PNG and all files stored in the phone's internal memory. Therefore, it takes time to display the pictures. It's only a matter of how the aplication reads the files...
