Im fed up of my mouse not scrolling when i tell it to.

so i phones apple care and firstly they tell me that they need my card details in case i dont send my mouse back fair enough i think. problem is i didnt have my mac to hand so couldnt give them the serial number.

so i get home phone them again and now they need my card details to charge me £32 to send me a new mouse??

WHAT is that all about?

i've two mice, one wireless and one normal. its the normal one that is broken...

ive swapped from PC, not going to swap back in a hurry...

best thing to do is go into an actual applestore and explain the problem.
the call centers for mobile phones are bad enough and i have had my fair share of problems with applecare people, but the people in store are best.
just remember your serial number and just say you have applecare

yep that might work....can you only get the wired mice from apple direct then? or can you buy them from other retailers? yeh i know you have just switched from pc --> mac fatreg, it was a joke....erm....i might switch to intel mac someday....is the mouse for a mac ps/2? does a pc mouse work on it?!?!? - i think my wireless mouse said it worked on mac OS X panther when i bought it. not sure though, but is this a mac mouse with only 1 button?

not yet no, they said they would send me a new one then i send them my one back and if i dont send it to them thats when i get charged, but the 2nd dude i phoned said they wanted to chage me before they send it.....

yeh they do, although they give it back. Im in a similar situation, i did it on my dads card for a 70 quid keyboard, now how am I guna explain that lol
