Hi
I got my new M600i yesterday and happily started the migration from my P910i. Synchronizing, deinstalling the old PC suite but then...
When I pop in the new CD for the M600i and start the installation it says "Requires Windows XP" after 2 minutes. And in the requirements is states quite clearly that WXP and SP2 is required. But my work PC has only SP1 and I'm not allowed to upgrade to SP2 so now I'm stuck...
Most of the PCSuite versions for different phones seem to support both SP1 and SP2 but not the one for M600i.
Has anyone heard if a work around or something?

he said that he is not allowed to upgrade his work PC to SP2 so I guess his only other choice is to use a non work PC

OT, but in my workplace we have to use SP2 if the PC should be connected to the network. Strange security rules at your workplace, hopefully they come to sense and upgrade to SP2.

Perhaps there are not running legit OS installs? :-\\ I recall some places sticking to sp1 so that they don't have to worry about getting that need a verified key warning. Ofcourse it could just be irregular workplace rules they use.

There might be other reasons - SP2 killed our CRM System and they wanted 10K to upgrade the bespoke stuff, so we stayed with SP1 until we could retire that software.

hmm....sp2 adds security...but then again i'd go over to linux for full security etc - infact, ericsson (///) use win 2k on there computers....many other companies are sticking with win 2k for its security aswell...much better than that of win xp.
