I have read many posts on this site but none are exactly what I am looking for. I dropped my phone in water a while back and got a new phone but now am looking to try to get this phone to work. As soon as I dropped it in the water I got it out in about 2 seconds, dried it thoroughly and then tried to get it to work. The odd thing is that i can turn it on and shows that I have reception, everything works fine and I sometimes even get 5 bars of reception, I have tried master reset and that didnt work, any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

welcome here? did u take out the batt after the accident? actually water damage is killing the fone after a certain time, some of them survive, but with bugs. This message was posted from a Nokia

After you take it out of the water, you take the batt out and let it dry for a day. Plus corrosion keeps going after it is dry and most phones succumb to it.
