just had Sky HD installed, anybody else got it yet? the previews look really good (not many functional channels yet) and the box is very slick!! Cant wait for more channels to come available!!

Thinking of getting my parents Sky+ For their anniversary.. i'll be at uni so it's gonna be used by them i guess
What's the difference from this and the Sky HD?

I guess its Just sky+ but with channels with HD quality. I've got sky+ suits my needs fine, not got a HD tv yet either

exactly, Sky HD is just Sky+ with the extra channels, 40gb memory instead of 20gb and a much nicer looking box!

Only prob I've got with the SKy boxes is the quality. Simply put, they last no time at all. My Sky+ box is only 2years old and randomly crashes. I've been told that this is due to a faulty hard disk. Every box previous to this has lasted barely 18 mths.
I'd love to get th HD box but Sky really need to start selling better quality units then the CR*p they sell now, especially given the price of the HD unit and the extra monthly fee, which by the way is cheek at its highest!

@luigithfc - Which channel you watch England on HD? there isnt a channel broadcasting football yet, BBC HD hasnt had any England games on??
@ whoever commented on the quality of the box (sorry cant remember who it was) - the engineer who fitted out HD said that they have got new Sky+ plus boxed which are really goof quality and they are having no problems at all really with them and there only £89 with free fitting!
