> W700 Firmware on K750
Bookmark topic
I got bored of my K750/W800 so i desided to flash it to W700. Hoping it had Flash Light as it claims to have on the SE website but noo, it doesn't work. Or is it a harware thing? Anyone with a W700 that has Flash Light?
BTW don't waste your time flashing your WK78500i with a W700 firmware, the camera doesn't work all you hear is one big clack and the phone does some profileing thing.

Dont forget that the K750i has autofocus but the W700i doesnt. The camera software on the W700i doesnt include the right coding for the k750i so it wont work.

Hey there. Just wondering how you got w700i firmware on your k750i - TotalServer isn't letting me do it, hah. I want to flash to w700i firmware because it has A2DP, according to this site I checked.

W700 is not A2DP. Perhaps you mean buetooth 2.0?

Its a site that was cited in another large A2DP-related thread. Seems to have good credibility, as it has frequent updating. I'm not sure, it could be wrong. Does anybody have a w700i, and if they do, could they possibly confirm or shoot down this idea?

if that's true it would be interesting to try, but my impression was A2DP is hardware level implementation, so flashing a K750/W800 to W700 wouldn't necessarily give you A2DP.
Anyway, I can't see any evidence that W700 is A2DP capable. Sony Ericsson don't list it in the website specs list, neither do mobile review or gsmarena, or esato for that matter. So I'd like to know where that website get's it's info from.

Well, I figure this will systematically kill me inside unless I try it - I MUST KNOW. Firmware has been able to unlock A2DP capability on phones such as the Palm Treos and the Nokia 8800.... anyways I just wanted to know if you're able to use the the process described here

Post #14 to flash my phone to a w700i. It all sounds sound, but I just don't know about the manual finalization bit of it (Step 3). If its designed for a w800i flash, I don't know if this finalization bit will be good for a w700i flash.

by all means try it - but phones on which it can be unlocked are ones that have the hardware already - but wasn't implemented for that particular firmware version for marketing and coast cutting reasons.
However I believe the W800 and K750 handsets actually don't have the A2DP chip, so it couldn't be unlocked no matter how much you try.
However, give it a go and let us know. I'd say you need to finalise with W700 for it to work. You probably can't use FAR on the phone once it's a W700, so you looking at a davinci credit or something anyway, so use a W700 complete.
Maybe you could trick SEUS and put a W700 cda/model details in your customize.xml in your current phone - SEUS may turn it into a W700!! Doubt it though.
