Original: rub the back part of MSPD,you must feel the roughness..the letters there are textured..
Then, the package seals are like capsule, not round..
Next, the card must fit perfectly into Memory Stick adaptor..no difficulty to enter it at all.
Because most MSPD sold is fake, I always trust Sandisk..in Indonesia,Sandisk from the my dealer is always original..

whats the actual differences inside the card though, how can you have 'fake' memory?

Never dismantled one,but the original 2gb MSPD uses Samsung chip inside...the fake uses non-branded one. The circuit is also different..however the fake one works just fine..

Yeah fakes work fine, i think the life of the card is lesser than original though...

the physical build quality is worse, so the casing isnt sealed shut properly (usually), so after about 10 in-and-out presses and depresses the casing will start to crack. Although I think that more recent fake MSDs are being built of a better quality
