> Phone Branding - Visual and Software?

As in Vodafone spoil their phones with a Vodafone logo on the phone exterior and mess up the menus and stuff inside. Virgin do not, well not on my K750 anyway, but if I moved to O2 for my upgrade, do they do anything? Apart from that when you turn on the phone thing... or is that gone?
Thanks

No, I've never seen any external branding on o2 handsets, just an icon and startup/shutdown screens

The only branding on an o2 phone is the startup and shutdown screens and a link on the menu

Thats good
Visual branding on a phone with the exception of start-up/shutdown screens and the odd menu icon, really put me off of buying phones with certain networks.
Thanks

Don't know what O2 makes in UK but in Germany there are some SE-handsets with changed QuickShare-label to O2-label. But that's all.
Inside firmware also only changed start-up and shut-down animation and changed icon for menu1

hmmm....i bet the o2 mms / wap settings are locked still though lol - and also locked to their portal etc....just like the vodafone - i just can't see them doing it any differently, otherwise se would make money out of it rather than o2, for example the 'get more games' shortcut, would go to the o2 games page rather than to the se one.

Yeah Virgin Mobile
do not brand their phones. They are technically the same company as T-Mobile, but as you know T-Mobile brand their phones and have only specific phones they sell that have usually been changed, so you can often use Virgin to get away from that.
Orange, though not as bad as Vodafone, do usually put an Orange logo on the phone's exterior and of course like most networks
except Virgin, do also have the start-up and shut-down screens.

Orange not as bad as Vodafone, well in my exexperience they are worse, Virgin and even T-Mobile seem to do the least amount of damage IMO never had an O2 phone so can't comment my P900 from Orange was dreadfull and was told i could not use the update service, that and the bad customer service is why i left Orange never to return.
