Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else has spotted the number of scammers on ebay. If you type in ipod video... there are loads listed by 1 seller who has suspicious feedback. I think the legit sellers will be getting less than average price yesterday/today/tommorow as alot of people will be instead bidding on the scammers ipods

It annoys me too - I've been on there buying binoculars (for watching aircraft and birds - the feathered variety and not what you're thinking! ) and there are even scammers trying to rip people off high end binos like Zeiss and Leica ones with hijacked accounts!

Not sure what they can do to stop this but it is getting out of control now. Look at the 'featured items' for mobile phones, a lot of them look suspicious and look like scams

Although I'm not racist, you do have to watch out or at least be careful with foreigners to your country, since obviously language and communication can be a problem and then confusion happens and problems start. But although I'm sure the majority are fine, many many people have had problems with Nigerians trying to scam, rip you off and get you to send items or money via cheque etc before they send the product or money etc.

You know the funniest thing is that people always assume Nigerians & co to be the biggest scammers, but in reality you only need to look at every day life and see it hits you right in the face from the morning you wake up and pop open that can of coffee that says will give you that exhuberating lift to start your day (big fat con it will give you a caffeine rush for an hour max then u screwed afterwards)

You then get on the train to read your lovely SUN newspaper and wow David Beckham has a compulsive eating disorder or some shit (again a big scam to make you buy the paper and part with money. And then the next day they place a small apology somewhere u couldnt possilby see in the paper stating how they were wrong in yesterday editorial etc )...

Finally you get into work and wall street and london stock exchange the biggest scammers since god knows...have been trading stocks and shares and over inflating prices with oil and guess what you just parted with more money because Ken Livingstone said oil prices have gone up so that means buses and trains will go up...and that means the banks go crazy and increase the interest rate and voila your home is repossesed.

So scammers are everywhere...u see them everywhere dont eat into the media's hype of its MOSTLY NIGERIANS doing this and that...cause that's what they want you to believe . Yeah so they prominent on ebay but we have all scammed one way or another...like selling a phone as brand new but you and I both know we took it for a spin last week and didnt like it....

ok yh, this is about scammers on ebay, not the coco bean scammers, not the stockexchange scammers, just the ebay ones.

Every1 exploits every1, some are jsut covertly done.

Im just trying to show how i will get less money for my products because of these bastards.

dont turn it into a crime and deviance lesson

Yeah all well and said but two things that get under my nails, Stereotyping and Homophobia. The use of the word "Gay" to describe ebay and stereotyping that "Nigerians" are scammers thats just not right.
